New Mouse Model Maps Brain RNA
A new study led by Kate Meyer, PhD, assistant prof of biochemistry, in Nature Neuroscience introduces a new mouse model that allows for in vivo mapping of the RNA modification m6A. This model enabled researchers to profile m6A in single brain cells for the first time. The study revealed previously unknown features of m6A distribution across different cell types and uncovered age-related changes in RNA methylation.
