Megan Kelly Receives NIAID F30 Award

By Wendy Goldstein

MD/PhD candidate, Megan Kelley, was just awarded a prestigious NIAID F30 that will fund her schooling and provide a stipend for two years of graduate school and one year of medical school. To be considered, she submitted a research proposal, a personal statement, and a letter of support from her PI, Hashim Al-Hashimi, PhD. The grant funds academic-physician scientists who have the potential to become independent researchers and clinicians. Kelly hopes to one day study adult or pediatric infectious diseases.
