Housing
Below are links to some of the housing websites in the Durham area. This list is by no means exhaustive, but it should help you start your search. Also, if you would like to send a mass roommate request to current and future Biochemistry grad students, send me the details and I’ll forward them to the list.
Parking
Parking on campus is one of the more complicated elements of life at Duke. You will be able to buy a year-long parking permit during the Graduate School orientation session in the Bryan Center. Permits can also be obtained from the Medical Center Parking office in the basement of North Hospital or online. Call (919) 684-5773 for more information.
There are also gated lots and parking garages located near the Nanaline Duke Building. Unfortunately, the waiting lists to get a space in these lots are very long (years long, in fact). You can update your waiting lists each year during renewal.
