2nd Year

Before November 1

Student and advisor select Thesis Committee and submit names to Biochemistry Graduate Studies Office (BGSO)

Late Fall

Advisory Committee approves Thesis Committee and assigns Advisory Committee Member (ACM) to Prelim Committee

Before May 1

Student Schedules initial committee meeting (“pre-prelim”)

3rd Year

Before September 30

Student schedules oral exam and informs BGSO of the date

Before October 15

Or a minimum of one month before the oral exam

Subsequent Years

Before February 1

Student schedules Annual Progress Meeting with at least three members of the Thesis Committee

Before May 1

Student completes Annual Progress Meeting
