Advanced Photon Source

Duke is a member a consortium that built the SER-CAT beamline at the Advanced Photon Source (APS) located at Argonne National Laboratory outside of Chicago. This synchrotron is one of the world’s most advanced X-Ray sources and is a valuable resource for X-Ray crystallography at Duke. Research teams from Duke travel to the facility throughout the year.
